What is FloorWERK?: Get it on the floor! Join burlesque artist and choreographer Ari/Elle Du Jour in a fun, flirty, & filthy way to explore the floor. In this sensual burlesque dance class, the focus will be on building several core ground-based “skills” per class, creative drills, then incorporating them into choreography… or should we say FLOOReography?
Level: Intermediate/Beginner (some sort of previous dance or movement background will certainly help!)
Vibes: burlesque, contemporary/modern dance, floorwork, jazz fusion, top 40, R&B, slow grind, “heels” (but not really)

This class operates as a 4-week series. There are 2 options for flexible payment.
Payment Options: Package (fee-free) or Pay Per Class
Option 1: PACKAGE (FEE-FREE) @ $20/class (4-class package/$80 total)

Requirements/what to bring:
kneepads (you will %100 seriously need these)
socks/bare feet, indoor sneakers/tennis shoes, (heels optional)

✨Class format: A typical 1hour 30minute class with me looks like…
a full-body warm-up including ABS💪🏽
skillful breakdown of 1-3 floorwork moves (plus drills you can practice at home!)
a burlesque choreography combo x Elle Du Jour/Ari (usually 1-2 minutes)
a cool down/stretch 💦

Movement Accessibility: The nature of the class will require getting up and down off of the floor for a significant amount of time. Modifications will be provided (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) so that everyone can get something out of their time. Please reach out before or during class if you need more assistance.
COVID policy: The space currently does not require masks, BUT since we will be in a small studio together I like to take a group conscience whether or not all would like to wear masks at the top of each class. Best to bring one just in case, for everyone’s comfort + safety.
